How do I register my Walmart MoneyCard?

You can register a temporary card purchased at a retail store here.

You’ll be asked to provide some info so we can verify your identity, including your:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Date of birth
  • 16-digit card number
  • Expiration date
  • 3-digit security code (found on the back of your card)
  • Mobile phone number

Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies anyone who successfully opens an account with us.

Must be 18 or older to purchase a Walmart MoneyCard. Activation requires online access and identity verification (including SSN) to open an account. Mobile or email verification and mobile app are required to access all features.
